Thursday: Wandered around to find La Vega, a fruit market, but turned around because it got kind of sketchy, then wandered some more and ended up at Mercado Central, where supposedly the best seafood is. It was basically a huge building with a bunch of raw seafood vendors (eww I was definitely grossed out) and seafood restaurants and guys trying to get us to eat at their place. Meryl bought the most delicious mango we have eaten! So good.
Friday: Went to the government buildings of Chile, La Moneda, couldn't find it, walked in the total opposite direction, then stumbled upon it! Pretty building with a museum downstairs.

Saturday: We took a 2 hour bus ride to Valparaiso, a port with colorful houses, in the morning and walked around the city!

We went to Los Portenos, a seafood restaurant, for lunch. I ordered Corvina with Avocado. The fish was SO big. Probably a good 4-5 servings all for $13! The lime slice can be a reference as to how big it was. Did I mention how big the fish was? Also delicious.
Then, we went to Pablo Neruda's house, La Sebastiana. Not only was the view beautiful, but we also got to tour around inside and see where he lived.

Then we took about a 15 minute train ride to Vina del Mar, a beach town.

Then we stopped by a Italian bakery before heading home.

Needless to say, it was an exhausting day, but so fun to travel!
